Sometimes, the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.

What is “Sleep In For Suess?”

Can’t make the race or races not your thing? You can still support our school! Make a $23 donation and receive a race t-shirt. Shirts will be available during packet pick up.

Is this a timed race?

Yes, Space Coast Event Management will be assisting us with the event and chip timing.

May I walk the race?

Absolutely! We do ask that walkers line up at the back for safety of all participants.

Are strollers allowed?

Yes! The Thinga-Ma-Jogger 5K is a family friendly race and strollers are allowed. We do ask that all stroller participants line up at the back for the safety of all participants.

Are bikes, scooters or dogs allowed?

No, all participants must be either walking, running or in a stroller.

May I register on race day?

Yes! However, we only accept cash and checks. No credit cards will be accepted on race day.

What is the kids race?

After the completion of the 5K race a free ¼ mile kids race will take place for kids not participating in the 5K and under the age of 7.

Am I guaranteed a race t-shirt?

You are guaranteed a t-shirt if you register by February 20, 2017 because we have to place our shirt order. However, we will order extra shirts in limited quantities in different sizes to try to make sure everyone gets a shirt.

Do I need to bring water?

We will have one water station at the half way point of the race.

What are the award categories?

Medals will be given for first, second and third place for each age group.

8 and under; 9-11; 12-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75+

Top 3 in male/female overall and top 3 in masters male/female

A special midpack runner and midpack kid runner will be awarded-so every participant has the opportunity to earn a medal.

What is the book drive?

As part of the Manatee Gives Back campaign we are encouraging all participants to contribute a new or gently-used book to support literacy. All books collected will be donated to a Florida based charitable organization or children’s hospital. Books will be collected at packet pick up and on race day.
